Thad Moffitt battled at Darlington Raceway with a paint scheme that honored both his family’s 75-year legacy in motorsports and well as one of the most beloved NASCAR drivers in recent history.
Moffitt, the grandson of seven-time NASCAR Cup Series® champion Richard Petty, wheeled a silver No. 46 truck during the Official Throwback Weekend of NASCAR® that was inspired by the STP 25th Anniversary car that Bobby Hamilton ran for Petty Enterprises in 1996. In addition, Moffitt’s truck also honored the 75th anniversary of the Petty family’s involvement in NASCAR® racing with the logos that Petty-inspired cars are competing with throughout 2024.
