Shane van Gisbergen continued to prove his generational road course
domination by scoring his seventh NASCAR Cup Series® victory on a road
or street course and a second-straight win at Watkins Glen
International. With his No. 97 SuperFile Chevrolet, SVG was nearly 30
seconds behind the leader in the closing stages of the race, but
methodically worked his way to the front and pulled away from the field
in the final eight laps.
